Coastal Disaster Support

(From my brother who is former navy logistics) Recommission Navy vessels for coastal disaster support. These vessels could be utlized to move eqiupment, medical supplies, food, water, etc, to coastal areas impacted by disasters.

    On the West coast, a Cascadia Subduction Zone event would likely damage harbors for larger vessels. It will be easier to airlift supplies and teams in via helicopter from further inland...

    We can also use these vessels to provide international support missions as well. That way they get training time and real operational experience as well.
